The A400x succeeded the A400 1995. Great quality build. A fine appliance & beautiful amplifier.

Checked, Tested, Cleaned & service. Checked & tested again. Works exactly as you’d expect – very well.

Audiophile grade phono stage – Front mounted switch for MC – MM cartridge selection – allows quick selection. A very good vinyl amp.
Quality build in steel case & full aluminum front. Strong & capable amp.

After testing this amp for a spell, we came to really appreciate the clarity & detail. However we did find that speaker choice is important with these amps. They really don’t want an overly bright speaker. The winners of our ‘match test’ were Mission 707 stand mount speakers – a great pair
