A point to note is the condition of this machine – it’s like it came out of a ‘time warp’ – everything looks & feels like new.
Includes stroboscopic disk platter & original CK-20 plinth (not very common with NZ units).
Full refresh & service done: stripped down, cleaned, and regreased. Rubber ‘Stuerpimple’ replaced. Audio circuit cleaned, checked & replaced where required. Electrical circuits checked & cleaned. All adjustments checked & confirmed. All features tested – working just as it should. Chassis & turntable in great shape. Upgraded RCA leads. Motor cleaned & checked – strong & very quiet – Quick start up & keeps perfect speed.
Original Dual CK-20 plinth in like new condition (woodwork refinished by 54 FiveSix). Has the flip down front accessory storage – including. 7″ spindle adaptor & slots for two Dual ‘TK’ cartridge holders. Additional cart holders available on request.
New genuine Ortofon OM cartridge installed with OM5S stylus. The OM cart is the perfect match with the Dual low-mass tonearms & provide an excellent upgrade path with various levels of available styli – OM5-OM10-OM20-OM30. Approx $95-$700.00. Nb. Pictures show a Stanton cart – this has been replaced with the Ortofon OM.
Note: Original lid has the ‘normal’ cracks at the rear – see close up pics. The CK-20 lids are very thick acrylic & they do tend to crack in this area, however they don’t deteriorate unless put under undue stress.
