“designed for quality and efficiency”
Spincraft moto 1958
The design & quality of these lamps & light fittings compete with international products, even the likes of ‘Alda Lighting’, C.A.T, Arco, & ‘John & Sylvia Reid’ designs for Concorde Lighting UK
However they spawn from a humble NZ manufacturer – Spincraft Ltd.
Established in 1946 as a subsidiary of H E Shacklock & Sons – A well established NZ whiteware manufacture.
Spincraft specialised in steel homeware products including spun aluminum light fittings and lamps which they marketed under the name ‘Betalite’
Spincraft produced a huge amount of high quality light fittings and lamps in their Wellington factory during the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s.
NZ desks & tables would have been pretty dull if it wasn’t for this great local lamp manufacturer
