A&R Cambridge

Amplification & Reproduction Cambridge ltd - 1976

After enjoying dominance, the English audio industry had taken a battering from international competition, with Japan enjoying top position from the early 70s.

The A&R Cambridge A60 amplifier along with early incarnations from Creek Audio, Audiolab, & Cyrus - these products helped keep the UK 'in the HiFi game'.

In the 1980s the name was shortened to 'Arcam' in literature only, the business name remained A&R Cambridge.

ARCAM continued to produce fabulous 2 channel amplifiers. The Alpha & Delta ranges throughout the 80s, 90s, & into the early 2000s with the Diva range - all excellent amplifiers.
