What data we collect and why do we collect it:
Personal Data
We may collect personal information about you from a number of sources, including ‘in person’, directly from you, when you use our website, over the telephone, by letter or e-mail correspondence.
For example, you may provide us with your personal information to enable us to answer your enquiries, process orders & deliveries, provide you with an electronic receipt, or carry out a transaction or request that you have made.
Personal information collected by us may include your name, title, company name, email address, telephone number/s, postal or physical address, product purchases and preferences.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email sent.
With the exception of data collected automatically – we will not attempt to collect data from you without your knowledge.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the ‘Gravatar’ service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your comment & profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Contact forms
Information collected via our ‘ Message us‘ contact form is collected via email admin@functioninform.co.nz & is available to only Function in Form staff.
Cookies
When you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log into your account, we will also set cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you leave a ‘verified purchaser review’ you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Payment Details
Function in Form do not request or store any of your financial details or your credit card numbers etc. Payments are made via bank transfer using your own internet banking method or in cash / bank transfer upon delivery / pick up.

Your details are accessible only by Function in Form staff in duties pertaining to your transactions or requests. We will not sell or lease your personal information. (a) we are required by law to disclose the information.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold for you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold for you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where else we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service prior to being stored on our servers.
When shipping is required, we will provide freight companies your delivery address, name & telephone contact
We may also provide your delivery address, name & telephone contact to an outsourced service/repair agent if required to complete your request.
How we protect your data
Your data is stored only on our website host NZ based secure servers & in our own customer database stored locally – not in the cloud.
What data breach procedures we have in place
If a data breach is detected we will take all steps to ensure a repeat is avoided and if required export & delete all stored data.
