Remploy UK – Founded in 1945 by Ernest Bevin, the current UK Minister for Labour.
Originally the Disabled Persons Employment Corporation. Remploy began life with the opening of their first factory in 1946 – Bridgend, South Wales.
The name Remploy, taken from the literal term ‘re-employ’.
