A fine piece of history – unique lamp base with lovely vintage shade.
Made as a lamp originally this bust is constructed using wood & Papier-Mache.
Dimensions: Overall height 55cm
Base: 29cm wide / 18cm deep
Shade: 28cm tall / 29cm diameter @ bottom
Made in (?) – Circa 1950
Beautiful condition. Heavy on the patina…..
Layers of lacquer have hardened & shrunk over the years, However a very well-maintained piece with only minor scuffs etc,
Shade is in good shape – ribbon on edges is fragile and torn in areas – see pics.
Cable ends checked & refreshed. Heat shielding replaced.
Independently Tested & Tagged for electrical safety.
