Wish Rank HiFi were still manufacturing – they just made such good speaker sets in the 70s.
We’ve had, I think every model that Rank manufactured – at least all the ‘Dale’ models, Glendale, Rosedale, Airedale etc. As well as their Linton, Melton, & Denton ranges – but it’s the Dovedales that stick in memory.
Awesome sound – great frequency range – deep bass, soaring highs. The firm suspension paper cone bass drivers are magical.
A point to note is they like a bit of space to full, so average to large sized room required.
Fully restored – teak cabinetry re-finished by 54 FiveSix Furniture. Crossover circuits checked over & capacitors replaced. Speakers cleaned & soak tested.
