Founded 1946 Burgdorf, Switzerland by Fritz and Marie Laeng.
Initially producing a range of household products, the company launched its first turntable in 1949.
From the mid-1950s Lenco turntables were marketed under other brand names - Bogen in the USA and Goldring in the UK, later marketing was under the company's own name.
Lenco grew to export products to over eighty countries across the globe.
Fortunes declined during the late 70s. The name being sold on late in that decade.
Lenco branded units found today bear no reference to the original manufacturer.
