Fully restored:
New shaped foam inners – New Upholstery (James Dunlop – Alpine Artichoke).
Several springs replaced. Trunk boards reversed (these are the steel ‘trunk’ strips that the springs secure to) – these are double sided and this suite had not yet been reversed – so the trunk strips are as new. All steel hardware has been cleaned & preserved.
All joints checked & secure – all ‘structural’ joints opened & renewed.
Steel base guard renewed.
All wood stripped back to naked mahogany and finished with 5 very fine coats of Danish Oils.
This suite is as when it left Fler Melbourne over 60 years ago
