Philips AK630 CD Player

Nice Philips CD player in perfect condition.
The 630 model stems from a range of players produced by Philips Holland in the early 90’s.
Originally very much an entry level type appliance, however norms have slipped over time & this range now stands out from later mid-market attempts.

Bitstream sampling – engaging & accurate. All in all – a great vintage CD player that will provide very enjoyable listening.

Equipped with the Philips engineered CDM4 mechanism. An extremely reliable, well rated mechanism. Along with the SAA7341GP DAC (digital audio converter) chip.
These aren’t the best of the Philips DAC range. However, they are very good.

These same components were used in some Marantz & Micromega branded CD players of the same era.
