The company name “Metamec” is derived from “metal-work and mechanics”.
From the first produced clock in 1947 – Metamec delivered high quality fashionable clocks with great success.
Most popular are the large ‘Sunburst’ chrome, teak and brass clocks of the sixty’s & seventy’s.
Between 1960s and the 70s, Metamec UK employed approx. 750 people, manufacturing 350 models of clock, and producing 25,000 clocks per week!
